The fourth edition of the 2009 Powerade Monterrey Marathon

The second Sunday in December, once again you have an appointment to the sport, effort and excellence. The fourth edition of Powerade Monterrey Marathon 2009 will take place on December 13 in the Foundry Park in this city.

The Marathon is an event that has gained prominence on the national level by the approach he has towards the athletes and the community at large. It is part of the activities that develops Ark Socially Responsible Company.

In these months of planning the event has been restructured in order to make it more attractive to runners. Some of the developments which have this year are:

   1. Focus 100% on recreational runners.
   2. There will be cash prizes, there will be no Elite of professional riders.
   3. More than 500 prizes: plasma televisions, Ipod's, watches, laptops, sports equipment, among many others.
   4. One in six runners take home a prize (system "scratch" to expedite the granting of awards).
   5. Trophies for the first runners to complete the journey Arca.
   6. Registration timing at 5, 10, 15, 21.1, 25, 30 and 35 km in addition to start and finish.
   7. Space is limited to 3,000 runners (in 2008 entries were exhausted 2.504).
   8. Minimarathon 4.2 km (one tenth of a marathon), aimed at children and families.

Continue, as is tradition, carbohydrate dinner, musical entertainment during dinner, conferences of interest to runners and lunch post-marathon, among others.

As in previous years and approaching December, Ark Team runners will receive a uniform to participate and are distinguished within the race.
