Arca obtains the 2009 Sonora Philanthropy Award in the Business category

The 2009 Sonora Philanthropy Award is a distinction whose objective is to recognize the work of organizations, institutions and persons who work in benefit of their community and is granted in four different categories: Business, Small and Mid-size Businesses (PYMES for its acronym in Spanish), Person and Institution.
In the Business modality, the winner was awarded to our company Arca Bottling Hermosillo Plant ( Embotelladoras Arca Planta Hermosillo ), distinction which endorses our commitment to permanent social responsibility to promote and develop actions in favor of the growth of our surrounding communities and society in general.
The recognition event took place on June 16th at the Arts Center in Hermosillo, Sonora, headed by the Governor of Sonora, Mr. Guillermo Padres Elías, who congratulated the winners for the important work they have done for several years, as well as for providing support to so much need existing in today´s society, in Sonora and in Mexico.
Mr. Leonel Cruz Martínez, Director of Human Capital and Quality at Embotelladoras Arca received this important recognition on behalf of the company, which undoubtedly strengthens the continuous improvement of our organization as a Socially Responsible Company.
The jury was composed of the presidents of the “Mr. José S. Healy”, the Esposos Rodríguez and the Maldonado foundations, as well as the presidents of the universities of Sonora, Hermosillo Technological, and Valle de Mexico , as well as the Sonora Technological Institute and the Technological Institute and of Superior Studies of Monterrey.
